Freightliner Trucks’ VIP customer experience is an annual event held in conjunction with the American Trucking Association’s Management Conference and Exhibition. Through a highly collaborative relationship, Freightliner Trucks leverages Aquarian’s production and entertainment services and partnerships, for end-to-end event production. Freightliner has trusted Aquarian, a Shepard Company, to produce their customer event for 25 years.
Transforming a massive stadium into an intimate, high-end entertainment experience
This year’s event was held at Petco Park, home of the major league baseball team, the San Diego Padres. Freightliner’s vision was delivered in an exclusive, secure event location for the guests and entertainers. The primary entertainment was a concert from a high-profile performer who is kept a secret from the audience until moments before the show begins. This year’s entertainment featured country stars Luke Bryan and Maddie & Tae.
The event featured a red-carpet entrance to the pitcher’s mound for a one-on-one greeting and photo opportunity, including tours of the Padres dugout and locker room. A baseball themed reception and dinner followed, before a spectacular concert and after glow.
Discovery > Define > Design > Develop > Deliver
Aquarian underwent an extensive discovery process, ensuring all the moving parts were integrated into the event plan.
As elements and talent were secured, Aquarian started to build out an immersive experience utilizing the latest in lighting, video, staging, and sound equipment and by leveraging built-in elements of the facility, including large scale LED scoreboards and digital signage.
Move-in to move-out spanned 7 days with more than 150 crew members, security professionals, and team members onsite.
The event was executed seamlessly, making it a home run for Aquarian in creating yet another live entertainment experience for Freightliner’s customers.
