Shepard Exposition Services Appoints Accomplished Leader, Ty Meeks as CFO

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, April 17, 2023 — Shepard Exposition Services, a full-service event production company, welcomes John Tyler “Ty” Meeks as Chief Financial Officer, effective April 10, 2023. 

Meeks, a certified public accountant with extensive leadership experience, joins the executive team during an exciting period of growth for Shepard, which appointed Kevin Bird as CEO and Steve Margos as COO in December. 

“Ty’s diverse experience and proven expertise in team-building will serve as a valuable asset to Shepard as we aim to expand our business while continuing to provide our trusted and personalized service experience to our customers,” said Bird. “We understand the importance of a strong finance department for our employees and partners. With Ty’s leadership, we are confident in the department’s ability to adapt and evolve to support the future growth of Shepard.”

Before joining Shepard, Meeks held a senior-level position in accounting and finance for a vertically integrated global company specializing in multifamily investment, operations and development. His multifaceted experience will be utilized to help Shepard scale and drive new growth. Meeks’ expertise in building teams, implementing controls and developing efficient processes by leveraging technology will be instrumental in expanding Shepard’s finance team.  His early background in communications will allow him to articulate a clear vision and foster a collaborative effort while taking an integrated approach to his work.
