CEDIA is the international trade association and central touchpoint for 3,700 member companies that represent every facet of the ever-evolving technology market. Their annual event, CEDIA EXPO, is the global showcase of the future home experience where 20,000 manufacturers, home technology professionals, media, industry partners, and more come together for five days of education and networking. CEDIA partnered with Shepard to fill their need for an event services contractor that offered flexibility, precision and proactive engagement to launch a major re-brand at their annual event.
As an organization, the rebrand served to drive key business objectives for the entire home technology industry and they wanted to leverage the live event platform to effectively and on a mass scale, launch the new design and messaging. CEDIA required a trusted vendor to keep the re-brand confidential until opening day to help maximize messaging and impact. Through a highly collaborative partnership, Shepard seamlessly aided in the re-brand through the creation of fully-customized show management areas and meticulous attention to brand guidelines throughout the signage. CEDIA asked for a future-forward museum-like environment be created to align with the new, sleek look and Shepard designed and presented floor plan concepts and renderings to bring their vision to life.
Additionally, as the show evolved over time, CEDIA pursued a partnership with Shepard to help elevate the onsite experience to improve overall exhibitor satisfaction and streamline the planning process. They needed an agile partner that allowed flexibility and provided creative, customer-centric solutions to advance their event forward.
The relaunch onsite was a major success, creating mass buzz through the industry and world. The custom structures created were intended for long-term use and were built in a way that streamlined storage and allowed for re-skinning so custom graphics could be applied to create a new look and feel each year.
