Atlanta, GA – January 4, 2017 – The new year brings new leadership changes to the Shepard team. As of January 1, 2017, Frank Villamar is the new Chief Financial Officer, and Steve Margos has been promoted to Vice President of West Coast Operations. Villamar and Margos are seasoned professionals and exemplars of Shepard’s commitment to Blue Diamond service.
Frank Villamar brings a wealth of experience to Shepard, having most recently served as CFO at Turnberry Innovations. Villamar joined Shepard in November to become fully integrated prior to Steve Basch’s official transition to CEO, also effective January 1, 2017. “Having gotten to work closely with Frank over the past few months, I know he is a great addition to the Shepard team,” said Steve Basch, former CFO and new CEO.
Previously the manager of the Las Vegas branch, Steve Margos has been promoted to the new role of VP of West Coast Operations. Margos maintains his role as general manager of the Las Vegas branch, but he also assumes leadership of the Phoenix and California branches. “We expect to see substantial West Coast growth over the next few years, and we are confident in Steve’s ability to oversee this expansion,” said Cory Clayton, Executive VP of Operations.
These leadership changes follow several other recent Shepard expansions, including the addition of an Indianapolis branch, the acquisitions of Aquarian and Markey’s, and the launch of Shepard Audio Visual Services.
